Travelling the East Coast of Australia is something I couldn’t recommend more when visiting Australia. Cheap AZ Travel helped me book my whole trip, not only did they give me the best prices. But they made it so easy all I had to do was show up to my tours. The whole way through Cheap AZ was super helpful. Even when we had bus delays I jumped on the phone to Marnie and had it sorted within the hour.

Setting off

Our journey began in Brisbane, we spent a couple days exploring the city and going shopping in the mall. We stayed in Chill Backpackers Brisbane in a shared dorm. It was such a great way to meet other people from all around the world. Kayaking along the Brisbane River was such a cool opportunity to see the city, we got to paddle under some of the many bridges in Brisbane.

Fraser Island

We said our goodbyes to all our new friends in Brisbane and jumped on the bus to Rainbow Beach. Arriving at Rainbow Beach we had a late check in to Pippies. This was good time to organise our stuff to bring onto Fraser Island.

Fraser Island in the East Coast of Australia was probably my favourite part of travelling the east coast. We were staying on an island so with no phone service we became very close with the people on our tour. Everyone sitting in the little kitchen playing cards and having drinks made it feel like we had known each other for years.  All the different locations were as beautiful as the next my personal favourite was the champagne rock pools, I loved watching the water crash over the rocks. We may have all started our journey as strangers, but we left as a family who I’ll never forget.

The Whitsundays

After our heart wrenching goodbyes from some of our Fraser family we were jumping on the overnight bus to Airlie beach. After some much-needed sleep on the bus we’d arrived into Airlie. Nomads was such a beautiful hostel it really felt more like a tropical resort. The dorms were these cute huts and, in the middle was a nice big swimming pool. The street our hostel was on, Shute Harbour Rd had a great range of shops, bars, and clubs. After some partying at Airlie beach, we were heading over to the Whitsundays.

The Avatar on the whitsundays

This is where we lived on the ocean for 2 days and got to see one of the most beautiful beaches in the world Whitehaven beach. We stayed on the Avatar which was a nice boat with really a great boat crew. I really enjoyed snorkelling as it was my first time and there were hundreds of fish all surrounding us. My friend justice was up on the little speed boat throwing bread at us in the water, so fish were swimming right into us. Was nice during the day to just chill on outside of the boat and lay in the sun.

Cairns

Greeted by the nice sun we were off exploring cairns. The most fun I had in cairns was our Uncle Brian’s tour, cousin Paul was so friendly and outgoing there was never a dull moment. We swam at 4 different beautiful locations and sang Aussie classics on the bus, it was all round good vibes.

Mila Mila Falls Atherton Tablelands

The weather was amazing up in Cairns so nice and warm the whole time. While we were up in cairns Cheap AZ Travel hosted a big pool party at Summerhouse Cairns. It was such a fun night where they served us free sangria, had piñata’s, beer pong competition with prizes and all went swimming in the pool which is right next to the bar.

All good things come to an end

As my East coast trip was coming to an end, I said goodbye to all the new people I’ve met and packed up my things. I met so many amazing people and saw some of Australia’s most beautiful places.  I am so grateful to Cheap AZ Travel for all there help with booking such an unforgettable trip, they made travelling super easy and stress free which is what you want when going travelling somewhere you’ve never been.
