We begin our Kakadu tour by travelling there to board the Corrobboree Billabong for a wildlife cruise. This is a fantastic chance to see crocodiles and the abundant wildlife in their natural environment.
We start our drive towards Kakadu National Park after the cruise.
Take a break and have a picnic lunch close to the East Alligator River, where you might get a chance to see some crocodiles and flying foxes!
Next, proceed to the park’s north, where the renowned Ubirr is located. Here you can find some of the finest examples of rock art from northern Australia. Your tour guide will explain the art and the significance of these exceptional paintings. Breathtaking 360-degree views over the Nardab floodplains and into Arnhem Land territory are the reward for the ascent to the top.
Tonight, we camp at our exclusive safari camp at Mardugal Billabong in the heart of Kakadu. Enjoy sitting around an open campfire and enjoying a cool beverage or a toasted marshmallow.

We go four-wheel driving to Jim Jim Falls after breakfast. A one-kilometer walk through the gorge, surrounded by towering 200-meter-high sandstone cliffs, leads to the impressive plunge pool for a well-deserved refreshing swim, or simply relax on the beach while taking in the breathtaking views.
After lunch, we travel to Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock) to learn about the region’s dreamtime stories and rock art, as well as its meaning to the traditional owners of the land.
A hike up to Gunwhardewharde lookout provides stunning views across the woodlands to the impressive Arnhem Land escarpment, as well as views of Burrungkuy and Anbangbang Billabong.
A visit to the Warradjan cultural centre is an excellent way to learn about Kakadu’s traditional owners through interactive displays and demonstrations.
We then return to our safari camp at Mardugal Billabong and relax around the campfire after some dinner.

After some breakfast, we then make our way to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge). A 1km hike through a paperbark forest with some rock scrambling leads to the plunge pool for a cool swim in a pristine environment.
We then head to Gunlom Falls at the southern end of Kakadu. A hike to the top is rewarded with a swim in the naturally occurring infinity pools while taking in the panoramic views of southern Kakadu. The bottom plunge pool is not to be missed and is a last chance to relax before contemplating the drive back to Darwin.
We return to Darwin via the historic town of Pine Creek, arriving in Darwin at approximately 5.30 p.m., ending our Kakadu tour.
