Your travel itinerary
Day 1
Our adventure commences early in the morning as we travel north from Alice Springs, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn en route to Karlu Karlu (Devil’s Marbles). Here, we delve into the cultural history and geological marvels of these distinctive rock formations, allowing time for a brief exploration of this culturally significant site. Following that, we proceed to the town of Tennant Creek for lunch by Tingkkarli (Lake Mary Ann). In the afternoon, our journey takes us to Daly Waters, home to the Outback’s most renowned pub. Here, we will spend the evening at the Territory’s most vibrant pub, relishing a delightful dinner and live music.
Day 2
After breakfast, we journey north to Mataranka Hot Springs, where you can indulge in a refreshing dip in the mesmerizing thermal pool. A short drive takes us to Bitter Springs, where we grab pool noodles and leisurely float down the thermal stream. We pause in Katherine for lunch before dedicating the afternoon to Edith Falls in Nitmiluk National Park. Here, a brief hike leads us to the top pools, providing an opportunity for a swim beside the picturesque waterfalls. Our day concludes with a drive to Adelaide River, where we’ll spend the evening at another well-known Outback Pub.
Day 3
Today promises a fun day of swimming in Litchfield National Park. Our itinerary includes visits to Wangi Falls, Florence Falls, Tolmer Falls, and Buley Rockhole. Along the way, we’ll also explore the fascinating magnetic and cathedral termite mounds. Following our adventures, we’ll make our way to Darwin, reaching our destination in the late afternoon.
