Hervey Bay is famous for Whale-Watching – Whales don’t simply pass through here on their annual migration to the breeding grounds of the Great Barrier Reef; Hervey Bay serves as a crucial stopover for them. Here, they rest, play, giving onlookers a real show and plenty of pics. It’s also a gateway for K’gari (Fraser Island) with a number of Tours departing dailing including overnight and day tours. Hervey Bay is easily accessible by car or bus as Greyhound and Premier both stop at this location.
