A Day Trip to Puffing Billy and Phillip Island

What a great way to spend a day out. Head from Melbourne to the Puffing Billy Railway steam train. Here you will get to do a 1 hour train ride through the Breathtaking Dandenong Ranges. Dangle your feet over the edge and step back in time as the whistle blows as the steam train puffs along though this lush forest. Going over the bridge through the forrest feels like being on top of the world.

Onto the Penguins

Stop for lunch at your own expense before heading to The Nobbies. Enjoy panoramic coastal vistas of Bass Strait from the clifftop boardwalks and witness the awe-inspiring blowhole.

You will then head to the Penguin Parade and as the sun fades you will start to see the cautious little penguins slowly ascend the beach as they head home after a hard day out at sea. This is one of those genuine wildlife experiences you will always remember. You can follow them along the boardwalk and listen to them chatter to each other on their way back to their nests.
